Welcome to Torah Lock. By downloading or using the app, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
1. Use of the App
Torah Lock is an iOS application designed to help users begin their day with prayer and spiritual focus before accessing selected apps.
The app may use Apple's Screen Time API and Family Controls frameworks to temporarily restrict selected applications until the daily morning spiritual session is completed.
You agree to use Torah Lock only for its intended personal and spiritual use. Any attempt to bypass, manipulate, or interfere with the app's restriction features is prohibited.
2. Local Data & No Account Requirement
Torah Lock does not require you to create an account.
All personal progress data (such as streaks, preferences, and session history) is stored locally on your device unless otherwise stated. We do not monitor or track your personal device activity outside the app.
3. Subscriptions & Payments
Torah Lock may offer optional paid features through auto-renewable subscriptions.
- Payments are processed through Apple's App Store.
- Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.
- You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time through your Apple ID settings.
- Refunds are handled according to Apple's App Store policies.
4. Device Restrictions (Screen Time / Family Controls)
App restrictions are performed locally on your device using Apple's system frameworks.
Torah Lock does not collect, transmit, or store detailed app usage data on external servers. The restriction functionality is intended solely for personal self-management and focus.
5. Third-Party Services
Torah Lock may use trusted third-party services to support app functionality, such as:
- Apple App Store (payments and subscriptions)
- RevenueCat (subscription management)
- Analytics tools for anonymous usage insights (if enabled)
Any data shared with third-party services is limited, anonymized where possible, and not used for advertising or sold to third parties.
6. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the app for unlawful purposes
- Attempt to reverse engineer or modify the app
- Circumvent or exploit the restriction system
- Interfere with the app's normal operation
We reserve the right to limit or suspend access if misuse is detected.
7. Spiritual Content Disclaimer
Torah Lock provides prayers, Tehillim, and spiritual guidance for inspirational and devotional purposes only.
The app does not provide religious, medical, psychological, or professional advice. Users should consult appropriate professionals or spiritual leaders for personal guidance when needed.
8. Age Requirement
Torah Lock is intended for general audiences. If the app is used by minors, parents or guardians are responsible for supervision and consent, especially when enabling device restrictions.
9. Disclaimer of Warranties
Torah Lock is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind.
We do not guarantee:
- Continuous availability or error-free operation
- Effectiveness in improving habits or spiritual practice
- Compatibility with all devices or system configurations
10. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Torah Lock and its developers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages resulting from the use or inability to use the app.
11. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the app after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
